Another summer is coming on fast at the Timbers Dinner Theatre. The brand new production, ON WITH THE SHOW, is about to explode onto the Timbers stage with songs, dancing, and laughs. A cast of talented performers from across the US will get your motor running during this fresh and new two act musical revue. The fine tuned ensemble will be performing popular classics and current Billboard hits to lighten your hearts and refresh your spirits. Enjoy the cozy surroundings amid the cool pine trees of Mount Gretna, a place the Timbers Dinner Theatre calls home.
Act One takes you across America in song, all the way from “Old Cape Cod” to where you left your heart, that’s right, San Francisco! The musical journey will touch states from “Blue Hawaii” to “North to Alaska”. There will be “A Song For You”, whether you are in a “New York State of Mind” or “Going Down to Houston”. Join the energetic cast as their trip explores this great country be it through song, and dance, a bluegrass hoedown or a sophisticated fox trot, a hula or the west coast jive.
In Act Two’s mini musical mystery, “Carwash Capers”, our intrepid detective tries to find out: Did a mysterious disappearance really happen at the Gretna Car Wash?! If so, who done it? The “Greased Lightning” devoted mechanic, the thoughtful “Marian the Librarian”, or the bumbling bank president reflecting about “The Life I Lead”. Who knows, maybe the butler did do it! Is the blues-ridden boss suffering the “Car Wash Blues” or is he just trying to “Hang On Sloopy”? Will the eccentric executive escape on “A Slow Boat to China” or is it just that “Something Funny’s Going On”? Who will be the one left singing those “Folsom Prison Blues”? You help decide! Get your motor running and suds flowing before the summer’s end. The Timbers Dinner Theatre is the place to be for summer fun and excitement!
This summer's musical revue, ON WITH THE SHOW is uniquely written for the Timbers by long time Timbers director, Sharon Miller from Universal Studios Orlando. Central PA's own Andy Roberts is returning as musical director and band leader. ON WITH THE SHOW is a lively musical revue with a stylish, humorous charm. Our cast will dance their way into your hearts as they perform hit songs from the past and present, the Broadway stage, classics and standards.
